Rules of Use and Engagement:

  • 1. All comments and critiques are to be respectful and courteous. Any comment or critique which demeans, degrades or violates a person’s character and/or self worth in any way, shape or form through the use of derogatory and/or other types of offensive language will be deleted. If a user creates a common pattern of this action, the user can and will be blocked from I Truss the Process. Depending on the severity of the comment, I Truss the Process may and will block the user from the website, notify public authorities and take legal action as needed.

  • 2. All members of the public are allowed to access the material presented on I Truss the Process and use the information within the article to preserve and advance the public good. However, if a user or member of the public uses the information present on any of the articles on this website to invoke disorder, harm or damage the public good in any way, I Truss the Process will block the user’s account (if applicable), take appropriate legal action as needed against either the user or the member of the public, notify law enforcement, and fully comply with any investigation regarding the matter. Furthermore, if any of the ideas or information in any of the articles on this website are used by users or members of the public without any acknowledgement to the website, article and/or person who created the idea and/or information, the member or user will be notified and legal action may be taken if not properly addressed by the individual.

  • 3. All participants are encouraged to exchange ideas and establish relationships with one another to advance engineering principles and ideas for the public good, helping create a supportive, thought-provoking environment for all in the process. Whether or not a person or group wishes to meet another person or group outside of I Truss the Process will rest solely on the person’s or group’s discretion. Any behavior by any user or member of the public that appears to be participating in any illegal and distressing behavior that is in the form of harassment, stalking or individual targeting towards any user or member of the public of this kind will have their account blocked (if applicable) and could possibly include legal action and/or notifying law enforcement.

  • 4. All members of the public are allowed and encouraged to contribute pertinent ideas to a discussion pertaining to an article here on I Truss the Process. If the website deems information from a user or member of the public to not be original, I Truss the Process will ask the user or member of the public to cite the source either by providing a URL with the correct location in the article (page, paragraph, table, etc.) or by providing the Title, Author, page number, paragraph, or table in a published text. If the user or member of the public claims the idea or information is original, I Truss the Process will acknowledge and respect this claim; however, if a reputable outside source provides proof to I Truss the Process that the information from the user comes from any of their documents (research article, website, etc.), I Truss the Process will ask the user or member of the public to correctly site the source. Failure to do so will result in the user’s account being blocked (if applicable) and may lead to legal action.

  • 5.In an effort to generate revenue to sustain I Truss the Process and allow it to be viewed by all members of the public, I Truss the Process will allow advertisers to promote their products and services on their website. Furthermore, I Truss the Process will allow users and members of the public to inform and announce to other users and members of the public of workshops, events, projects, and other pertinent activities that help advance the engineering methods with preserve and advance the public good. However, I Truss the Process will not allow users or members of the public to advertise on behalf of businesses, organizations, non-profit groups, or any other kind of institution. The user’s or member of the public’s advertisement will be deleted and the user or member of the public will be asked to refrain from advertising in the future. Failure to comply will result in either the user being blocked from I Truss the Process or the member of the public to have their commenting privileges revoked indefinitely.

  • 6. Due to the everchanging and innovative nature of technology and engineering, new methods of obtaining and exchanging information can and should be ethically used here on I Truss the Process by users and members of the public when engaging in the various discussions present on this website. However, if any form of technology used by either a user or member of the public negatively impacts the safety, integrity, value, reputation, and/or any other characteristic of a person, group or piece of work used on this website, the matter shall and will be investigated. If the technology used by the user is indeed found to be used by the user for any malicious reason whatsoever, the post shall be deleted and, depending on severity, may have the account blocked along with I Truss the Process notifying law enforcement and taking legal action as needed. If no ill-intent is found, the user or member of the public will be encouraged to refrain from using the technology until the user or member of the public has demonstrated an appropriate level of proficiency using the technology in question.

  • 7. I Truss the Process is a website that encourages all people of all backgrounds and creeds to engage in discussions pertaining to ideas, information or themes presented in an article on this website. One of the main objectives of these discussions is to discuss how these ideas and themes and the information within the article can be used for the public good. Due to the diverse beliefs and personal values users and members of the public may hold themselves to, I Truss the Process discourages discussions regarding politics, religion and any philosophical topics that do not fall within the realm of engineering on this website. Failure to comply will result in the removal of the comment and, ultimately, blocking the user from the site or revoking commenting privileges from the member of the public.

  • 8. I Truss the Process acknowledges that, while it does its best to monitor and prevent inappropriate behavior as outlined here in the Rules of Use and Engagement, there may be instances where inappropriate behavior as outlined in the Rules of Use and Engagement may not be caught by the website’s administrators. If and when such an instance is to occur, users and/or members of the public are encouraged to bring awareness to this issue. When doing so, take a screenshot of the incident and send the incident report to: contact@itrusstheprocess.com. The person who sent the report should receive a response within 24 hours.

  • 9. If a user or member of the public notices that information presented in any of the articles here on I Truss the Process appears to be incorrect or misused in any way, shape or form, please reach out to us at contact@itrusstheprocess.com. The person who sent the message should receive a response within 24 hours.

  • 10. I Truss the Process reserves the right to modify the Rules of Use and Engagement as deemed necessary by the website at any time.
